If you’re in Ohio, you know exactly what we mean when we say we went straight from using the furnace to turning on the air conditioner. While the calendar may still say spring, the temperatures have made it clear that summer is already knocking at our door. For now, we will embrace the sunshine, longer days, and look forward to the official start of summer. But for now let’s take a look back at the May events.
Adoption Finalizations
In May, we were also honored to celebrate two families who finalized their adoptions. These special moments serve as a meaningful reminder of the dedication, love, and commitment that adoption represents. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to these families. It is a joy to witness these journeys come to completion, and we are grateful to have been a part of their stories.

Adoption Possibilities
In May, Adoption Circle was also pleased to participate in and support the Adoption Possibilities Golf Fundraising Event, held on May 30, 2026. Adoption Possibilities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing grants to families who are pursuing adoption, helping to ease the financial barriers that can come with the journey. Adoption Circle was proud to sponsor a hole at the event and to have four of our young golfers take part in the day’s activities. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with such a meaningful organization and to contribute to their ongoing mission. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for supporting adoptive families, and it was clear that a great time was had by all in attendance. If you are interested in learning more or would like to support their efforts, we encourage you to visit the Adoption Possibilities website, https://adoptionpossibilities.org/ and consider making a donation to help provide continued assistance to families as they pursue adoption.

End of School Year
As stated earlier, although summer is not officially here, it certainly feels like we are stepping right into the season as the school year comes to a close. We were excited to see many of our families share photos of their children celebrating the end of the school year, along with glimpses of the activities our little ones are already beginning to enjoy as summer break gets underway. We look forward to all the upcoming summer activities and the memories that will be made in the months ahead. Please continue to share your photos and updates with us—we truly enjoy celebrating alongside you and your families.

A NOTE FROM THE BIRTH PARENT SERVICES DIRECTOR………..
In May, we also took time to recognize and celebrate Mother’s Day—a meaningful occasion for so many of the families we serve. One particularly touching moment shared with us came from one of our adoptive mothers, who received Mother’s Day messages from both of her children’s birth mothers. It was a beautiful and affirming reminder of the unique connections that adoption can create, and the love that can be shared across all parts of a child’s story.
Speaking of birth mothers, I would also like to share a truly special full-circle moment that has unfolded over the past several months. Early in my career at Adoption Circle, one of my very first cases involved supporting a birth mother through labor and delivery, as she did not have additional support with her at the time. I had the privilege of being present with her during that experience and assisting with the placement of her baby with an adoptive family. Fast forward more than twenty years, and I was contacted by that same child—now an adult—who was seeking information about her birth. While a connection was initially identified, the birth mother was not ready at that time to move forward with contact. Over the years, this young woman has grown into a compassionate professional, dedicating her work to serving underserved populations and providing essential items to mothers and infants. Through our Ohio Pregnancy and Parenting Grant, we have had the privilege of partnering with her efforts by supplying items to support pregnant women and mothers with children under twelve months of age. In what can only be described as a remarkable turn of events, she later encountered a woman through a community church connection who believed she recognized the young lady. Through that conversation, it was discovered that this individual was a close friend of her birth mother. With that connection, the birth mother has now expressed openness to the possibility of meeting in the future, when both feel emotionally ready. After almost thirty years in this field, moments like this are deeply meaningful and serve as a powerful reminder of why this work matters. Witnessing a story come full circle in such an unexpected and hopeful way is truly heartwarming. While the timing will be guided by what feels right for both individuals, we are hopeful that, when the day comes, it will be a meaningful and positive reunion. It is a privilege to have played even a small part in this journey.
I also would like to thank all who contributed to the Amazon Wishlist so we can provide post partum supplies to our birthmothers. THANK-YOU!!
